FACT NO. 1 - Facebook launches a new app that pays users for data

Facebook launched its new app, Study, which will be an odd but actual revenue stream for users who choose to share their information with the social giant about the apps they use. It is interesting to note that the company has previously launched two similar apps but they were both shut down after they drew a fair amount of criticism for infringing on privacy and even violating Apple's App Store guidelines. The study is only available on the google play store and is on an invitation basis only. The app will collect information about what apps participants are using, for how long and which app features they use - all of which offer Facebook insight into how people use their competitor's services. The company has maintained that they won't track passwords or IDs

FACT NO. 2 - Microsoft bans employees from using competing apps

Microsoft has reportedly banned its employees from using Slack, a collaboration tool competing with Microsoft Teams software. Microsoft has also tagged AWS and Google Docs as ''prohibited and discouraged technology

The Robotic Process Automatic market grew by 63% last year making it the fastest-growing enterprise software market with an overall market value of $846.2 million. The biggest company in this sector is UIPath.
